WWII Veteran Receives Arizona’s First Covid Vaccine Shot

As the Covid Vaccine is officially being distributed, the world looks on with hope. It seems fitting that the first to receive the shot in one state would be an American hero who helped the world through another dark time. That is exactly what took place recently in an Arizona VA Hospital. 94-year-old John Mohun had the distinction of being the first person in the state to receive the new vaccine. As you can see in the video from KYMA News, it was an emotional moment. Mohun speaks of his appreciation for the VA and his pride in being a World War 2 veteran.

It’s great to see a hero of World War 2 whose service saved countless lives receive this life-saving Covid Vaccine. We believe that it is important to take care of our veterans and those who have already given us so much. This is why we support a bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. Passage of this bill would make a huge difference in the lives of many older Americans. Take a moment to sign our petition, and please share with your friends and family.
