Has The Greatest Generation Been Forgotten?

Members of the greatest generation defended and preserved democracy through World War Two, the Korean War, and Vietnam. These great Americans sacrificed for a country that seems to have now forgotten them in many ways. Is this the way we want to treat our heroes? We believe that something needs to change.

The Greatest Generation on the Battlefield

Great American heroes risked everything on the front lines of war. Many made the ultimate sacrifice. While we enjoy our freedoms today, we owe those who fought to protect them. From World War II to Vietnam, American soldiers left their homes to face dangers across the globe. Imagine for a moment a world in which Allied Forces did not stand up to Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo.

The Greatest Generation at Home

Beyond the battlefield, great Americans worked hard and fought for change at home. Allied efforts in World War II would not have been so successful had hometown heroes not sacrificed in their own way to support the war effort. From wartime volunteering to the Civil Rights Movement, members of the greatest generation worked hard to bring about change.

Has Our Government Forgotten?

Whether at home or overseas, it is clear that the greatest generation helped to build and preserve the free nation we have today. Unfortunately, however, it seems that our government has forgotten about these heroes. Many Americans who lived through World War II and Korea do not get what they earned from Social Security. In fact, it seems that those who gave the most, often get the least.

Have the American People Forgotten?

Do you believe that members of the greatest generation deserve more? We do. That is why we support a bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. This legislation would right this long-standing wrong and ensure that these great Americans receive enough to live during their retirement years. It appears that Congress needs a reminder. Sign our petition to tell them that the people have not forgotten.
