Why The Greatest Generation Needs Your Help

The Greatest Generation Benefits Act
Via GoDaddy

The greatest generation (those who fought in WWII and Korea) gave so much for our country and for the world. We believe that it is imperative that we give back. While honoring the contributions of the past is important, we cannot forget about those in retirement today. Unfortunately, many of the Americans who gave so much are getting very little. However, we believe change is possible. The fact is, many seniors over the age of 82 are not receiving Social Security benefits that keep up with inflation. This is not acceptable. We think that everyone is entitled to what they earned. America’s seniors have paid in more than they receive. These are people who spent years working, and now, too many cannot afford basic needs like food and medication. This is because Social Security does not provide enough to live on alone.

We don’t think it’s right that our elderly spent their lives helping to build a country that now appears to have forgotten them. For this reason, we support significant changes to Social Security which will take better care of our deserving older Americans. This is why we support a bill which would revolutionize Social Security for many seniors.

If passed, this bill we call “The Greatest Generation Benefits Act” will increase benefits significantly. Under this new plan, those over the age of 82 will receive an additional $85 per month plus a 4% increase every year. To put this in perspective, the annual COLA has only made it above 2 percent twice in the last 10 years. Furthermore, the COLA for 2021 was only 1.3 percent.

Clearly, the system as it is does not do enough. However, with your help – and the help of concern citizens across the nation – we are confident that we can make this much-needed change. By signing our petition, you can send a clear message to Congress. With the signatures of Americans like you, we support the greatest generation. With your signature, we send the message that we demand more for those who sacrificed for us. Please sign here and let your voice be heard.
