This World War II Veteran Lost his Home and Needs Help Rebuilding

Bill Bradley is a 97-year-old World War II veteran. Unfortunately, he recently lost his long-time home in a fire. As News Channel 5 reports, the Portland resident had served on Omaha Beach and experienced close calls during the Battle of the Bulge.

While his military service is impressive, the thing he is most proud of is buying his family farm decades ago. Sadly, when a fire broke out, his longtime home was a total loss. He lost everything including the medals and uniforms that marked his service.

Bradley wants to rebuild, but sadly has no home owner’s insurance and does not have the funds to rebuild himself. As you see in the video below, his family is asking for the community to help and give back to this World War II veteran who gave so much to his community.

It is great to see the community come together to help those who gave so much during WW2. However, these great Americans should not have to struggle. They worked so hard and sacrificed so much, that they deserve to be secure and comfortable in retirement. That is why we support the bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. This would dramatically increase Social Security benefits for those over age 82. Please help by signing our petition.
