See the Korean War Veterans Memorial Wall of Remembrance Groundbreaking (Full Video)
We have previously posted about the “Wall of Remembrance” renovation to The Korean War Veterans Memorial. The plan has actually been on the table since 2016 but faced many delays. The good news is that the project is finally ready to become a reality with funding in place and work underway. The new wall is scheduled to be completed later this year.
The Korean War “Wall of Remembrance” will stand as an important way to remember the heroes of what is often referred to as “The Forgotten War.” Displaying the names of more than 36,000 Americans and over 7,000 members of the Korean Augmentation To the United States Army, this is an amazing tribute. While the renovation is not complete, it is gearing up to be something truly special.
Improvements to the memorial are expected to be complete in the summer of 2022. Of course, we think this is something everyone should see. In the meantime, you can learn more about the progress here. Additionally, the entire groundbreaking ceremony is available in the video below. Check it out.
We believe in giving back to those who gave the most. That’s why we urge Congress to pass The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. Learn more about how this legislation would help those who lived through World War II and Korea here.
