Alabama Nursing Home Celebrates Resident for Her 100th Birthday

Ruth Hunt will turn 100 on June 21st and the Alabama Nursing Home where she resides celebrated early. In honor of her upcoming milestone birthday, The Harbor at Hickory Hill assisted living facility threw her quite a party.

Ruth was certainly surprised when greeted with the festivities. The great staff at her retirement home took extra time to put something together to make her feel special. The day’s events included a big party and a photoshoot putting all the attention on her.

It was clear from her tearful reaction, that this surprise meant a lot. While the birthday party was heartwarming, there was one other surprise in store. Ruth was also invited to a parade in her honor. Read the full story and watch the video here from Alabama News Network.
