Americans on Social Security Need ‘The Greatest Generation Benefits Act’
Americans who gave so much for their country should not be forgotten in retirement! That is what “The Greatest Generation Benefits Act” is all about. Americans who worked, fought, and sacrificed during World War II and the Korean Conflict deserve better.
Retirees Still Don’t Get What They Earned
Many older Americans are struggling to afford basic needs in their retirement years. We are told that Social Security will be there for us in our retirement years, but the reality is that it continues to fail seniors. You would think that after spending decades of your life paying into the Social Security system, you could expect to at least get out what you put in. Sadly, this is not the case for those facing the challenge of low benefits.
Our Heroes Should Be Honored Instead of Forgotten
Those who suffer the most from insultingly low Social Security are often members of the greatest generation. These Americans lived through and brought the country through World War II and the Korean War. From the heroes who fought on the front lines to those who kept things running at home, our nation thrives on the back of their service to the country. Those who gave the most should not get the least!
How ‘The Greatest Generation Benefits Act’ Would Help Seniors
Social Security benefits have been far too low for years. Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) hasn’t helped. The 2024 COLA is only 3.2 percent! While the cost of living isn’t getting any easier, benefits barely budge. We believe that The Greatest Generation Benefits Act is the best path to a secure retirement for many American seniors.
Under this legislation, Americans 82 and over would receive an extra $85 per month plus a 4 percent increase annually. Learn more about this important act and sign our petition here. For the latest updates on this and more, follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
