WW 2 Veteran Shares His Experience With Students and the Public
WW 2 Veteran Jack Holder has experienced a lot in his nearly 100 years of life. At 19-years-old, he saw the Pearl Harbor attack unfold live, and he barely survived it himself. After the attack, he went on to play an instrumental role in other significant moments of the war.
Holder flew combat missions in the battle of Midway six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. His heroics saved countless lives as as he bravely fought and risked his life in battle. After the war ended, he spent decades as a commercial pilot before finding a new purpose.
Now at age 99, Jack dedicates his time to honoring those who fought and sacrificed by sharing his experience. In the video below, see how this WW 2 veteran is helping young Americans to remember the sacrifices of the greatest generation.
It is vitally important to remember the sacrifices of those who served in World War 2. We strongly support giving back to the generation that gave so much. This is why we support the passage of a bill we call “The Greatest Generation Benefits Act.” This bill would dramatically change the lives of Americans over age 82 by increasing their benefits.
