Chester County Veteran’s Affairs Looking for Korean War Veterans’ Photos for Planned Memorial Mural

Chester County South Carolina is reaching out to the community to help honor local heroes. The area has a long history of celebrating those who sacrificed so much in war to preserve freedom. A new project looks to expand on this in a great new way.

The Chester County War Memorial Building features monuments to heroes of the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, and other military service members from the area. Now, they’re looking for help putting faces to the names of local Korean War veterans.

The plan is to create a mural of each Korean War veteran whose name is etched into memorial stone. This is a wonderful way to remember these great Americans. To make this happen, Veterans affairs is seeking photos of these vets. See more in the video below.
