Veteran Retirement Home Residents and Staff Honor the Country They Served. (Video)
Don Seedle is a retired Army Veteran with 21 years of service behind him. His patriotism and love for his fellow Americans have not slowed down. As we recently celebrated the 4th of July, Don made sure that his American pride was on full display. Not only did he raise the flag for the important day, but he previously ensured that all 100 of his fellow retirement home residents had American flags of their own.
Additionally, Jim Rushing, a 20-year Air Force veteran has devoted time and effort to honoring the residents who served along with all veterans. He created a hall within the retirement facility as a tribute to those who served. It began with a few flags and grew into much more. The plaques and memorabilia on the walls stand as a reminder of the sacrifices made.
It is certainly great that these retirement home residents are being honored and have daily reminders of the country’s appreciation for what they did. Recognition is so important, and this is a great way to recognize members of our armed forces and the sacrifices they made. check out the video below for the full story.
We owe so much to those who served and especially members of the greatest generation (Those who lived through WW2 and Korea.) Unfortunately, many of our older Americans who gave so much, are not getting what they earned in retirement. We urge Congress to pass a bill we call “The Greatest Generation Benefits Act.” Learn more about this important legislation and sign our petition, here.
