Veteran of WW II and Korea Gets Touching Surprise Upon Release from Hospital
Johnie Hubert is a veteran of both WW II and The Korean War. He never let life slow him down too much, but a recent injury forced him to take things a little slower. After the 100-year-old Army 1st Sgt fell in his home, he had a broken hip and needed help. That help came from the staff at Methodist Hospital.
During his long road to recovery, Johnie became close with the rehab team and they were honored to have him. Once his time was done at Methodist Hospital, the rehab team gave the veteran a hero’s send-off. Staff lined the halls holding American flags and took some time to thank him for his service. See the touching video below.
This is the kind of recognition we like to see. There is, however, still so much more that can be done for members of the greatest generation. Check out what we are doing to help some of our greatest Americans here by working to pass the bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act.
