This 98-Year-Old WW2 Vet and His Ukulele Will Make You Smile
We could all use a little something to warm our hearts this winter. This ukulele performance will certainly do the trick. Tony Cappa is an American hero and an inspiration. Donning a Hawaiian shirt with ukulele in hand, he radiates a certain peace and joy. Tony’s life, however, has not been a simple island paradise. At 98, he has seen a lot, including the horrors of war. Although his experience in WWII, no doubt, affected him, it did not dampen his spirit. His service to the country is admirable, and his smile is exactly what we all need today. Enjoy the video below.
Here at The Greatest Generation, we love videos like this. We deeply appreciate not only what veterans like Tony did for us during the war, but also how they contribute to our society today. To honor these great Americans, we support a bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. Learn more about how this legislation would help those who served in World War II and Korea here. We would also love it if you would take the time to sign our petition and share on Facebook and Twitter.
