Detroit WWII Veteran Celebrates Turning 100

Lee Vernon Newby, jr is a Detroit World War Two vet who certainly earned our respect. Newby was one of the United State’s first black Marines, and he served bravely during WWII. This inspirational American recently celebrated his 100th birthday in style. Check out the video below.

We are happy to wish this incredible Detroit veteran a happy birthday. It’s important to also do everything we can to give back to all of the great Americans who gave so much during WWII and Korea.
