Hero Spotlight: Vietnam Hero Larry Head

This month, we are honored to shine our hero spotlight on Larry Head, a veteran who served in Vietnam for 13 months and 28 days as a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Larry’s journey was filled with both triumph and heartbreak as he witnessed the realities of war firsthand.

During his time in Vietnam, Larry displayed immense bravery and courage in the face of combat and demonstrated acts of incredible heroism. During his service, Larry experienced moments that would forever shape his life including the tragic and devastating loss of his best friend on the battlefield.

Larry’s dedication and sacrifice did not go unnoticed. He was awarded two Purple Hearts, a testament to his unwavering commitment to serving his country. His bravery and resilience stand as an inspiration to us all.

Recently, Larry had the opportunity to go on an honor flight, a well-deserved recognition for his service. This experience allowed him to share his story, connect with other veterans who shared similar experiences, and perhaps most importantly, find his friend’s name on the memorial wall to honor his memory once more.

Today, we honor Larry Head for his selfless service and unwavering dedication to our nation. His sacrifices will never be forgotten, and we extend our deepest gratitude for all that he has done. Read more about Larry’s service and his emotional honor flight here.
