World War II Veteran Jumps From Vintage Military Aircraft at 100-Years-Old
Tom Rice is a World War II veteran and a D-Day hero. Recently, he grabbed headlines once again for another bold and brave act. For his 100th birthday, he wanted something a little more than cake and candles.
Rice lived through D-Day and served as a platoon Sargeant with the 501st Parachute Infantry. To mark his 100th birthday, Tom opted to relive his heroic past. In a birthday celebration like no other, he jumped from an actual vintage WW2 plane.
Unlike your average skydiving adventure, crowds gathered below with a birthday greeting etched in the sand to welcome this World War II Veteran back to the ground. This is certainly an interesting way to celebrate, and SGT. Rice is definitely deserving of being celebrated. Check out his jump in the video below.
What a great story and a great man. We believe in giving back to all who lived and sacrificed through WW2 and Korea. This is why we urge Congress to pass The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. This legislation would be life-changing for so many of our great older Americans. Please take a moment to sign our petition.
