Retirement Home DJ Brings Music From the Past to Elderly Residents in 2021

Deano Palodino is the host of a very unique and special radio show of sorts. He plays all the classic hits from Elvis, Chubby Checker, and more, but you won’t find his show on your radio dial. His show is exclusively a live experience. Deano is a retirement home DJ.

What’s really great about Deano is that he helps bring the past back to the residents allowing them to relive their youth. Not only does he play the hit songs of the 1950s, but he takes on the classic 1950s disk jockey role recreating the whole experience. The residents couldn’t enjoy it more.

During the peak of the Covid-19 Pandemic, unfortunately, he had to slow down, and the music stopped as residents were observing safety protocols. The good news, however, is that Deano is bringing his show back. Check out the video below to see how this DJ brightens the lives of these residents.
