Remembering The 1939 New York World’s Fair in a Time of War
The New York World’s Fair ran from April 1939 to October 1940. This would have been an impressive event under any circumstances. However, the timing of the fair made it so much more culturally significant. It was a moment for the world to come together in a way in the middle of New York as the country recovered from the Great Depression.
