The Korean War Veterans Memorial is getting an upgrade. We have followed this story with great interest, as it is a great way to honor important heroes. Previously, we told you about the groundbreaking ceremony (See the video below.) Today, we have more news.

The updated Wall of Remembrance displays the names of more than 36,000 Americans and over 7,000 members of the Korean Augmentation to the United States Army. This tribute has been in the works for years, and now we have an official date for the wall’s dedication.

According to the Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation, the dedication ceremony will be on Wednesday, July 27, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Additionally, Gold Star families and Korean War Veterans and family members will have the opportunity to visit the wall the day before, on Tuesday, July 26, and attend a banquet on the evening of the 27th.

If you are interested in attending, check out the attendance interest form here. The event is free and a wonderful way to honor some real-life heroes.

We appreciate the contributions of all who sacrificed during the Korean War and WW II. That is why we support a bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. Of course, our heroes deserve more than we can give. This legislation, however, is a great start. Learn more and sign our petition here.
