Howard Wilkinson, at Cincinnati Public Radio, writes about his experience at the dedication of the National World War II Memorial in May of 2004.

It was a life-changing event for him. He saw with his own eyes what makes the greatest generation special. Wilkinson recounts some of the stories he was told and describes the fascinating and wonderful people he met.

After reading about Wilkinson’s experience, it’s impossible not to conclude we must do all we can for the greatest generation during their retirement. They deserve the benefits guaranteed to them by the bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act.

There’s no way around it, Congress must pass our legislation before it’s too late.
