COLA Increase Predicted for 2021

David Muhlbaum writes that “The Kiplinger Letter is now forecasting a 1.2% increase in the 2021 COLA.”

1.2% is lower than the past few years but much higher than the COLAs in 2016 and 2017.

We must continue urging Congress to pass the bill we call The Greatest Generation Benefits Act. This legislation will ensure Americans 82 or older will have more money to offset inadequate Cost of Living Adjustments.

Members of the greatest generation fought in World War II and the Korean War – and they survived some of the toughest economic times our country has ever seen. We can’t allow their buying power to be eroded by inflation and rising costs.
